Refund policy

At BrakeUp, we're dedicated to delivering premium auto parts and outstanding service. We recognize that sometimes returns are necessary, and we're committed to making the process smooth and straightforward.

Your satisfaction matters to us. That's why we offer a 30-day return window from the date you receive your order. This covers all situations—whether parts are defective, don't fit your vehicle, or you've simply changed your mind. Please note that return requests submitted after 30 calendar days cannot be accepted.

Inspecting Your Order

Upon arrival, please carefully examine your package. If you notice any damage, defects, or receive an incorrect item, contact us right away so we can resolve it quickly. For kits and bundled products, please be aware that we only accept full returns with all components in original, unused condition and packaging. Partial kit returns cannot be processed.

Returns Due to Our Error

If we made a mistake—such as sending you the wrong part or a defective item—we'll provide a prepaid return label and issue a full refund once the item is received and inspected. The product must be unused, in original packaging, and show no signs of wear or grease.

Returns Due to Customer Choice

If you're returning an item because you ordered the wrong part or no longer need it, you'll cover the return shipping costs. You must contact our customer service team before sending anything back—unauthorized returns will not be accepted. Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll refund your original payment method minus a 20% restocking fee. This fee applies to all customer-initiated returns, including those due to delayed deliveries or priority shipping delays.

Order Cancellations

Unfortunately, orders cannot be cancelled after placement due to our automated processing system, which prioritizes fast and accurate fulfillment. However, you can always return items following our standard return policy.

Return Authorization & Tracking

All returns must be pre-authorized by our customer service team. You're responsible for tracking your return shipment. If your package is returned to sender due to tracking negligence, it will be handled according to this policy.

Priority Delivery Delays

If your priority delivery order experiences delays, you're eligible for a refund of the priority shipping fee only. No additional compensation will be provided.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you of approval status. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund. If 15+ business days have passed since approval, please reach out to us.

Labor & Installation Costs

BrakeUp does not cover, reimburse, or accept responsibility for any labor, mechanic fees, or related costs associated with installing, removing, or replacing parts. This includes situations involving incorrect parts, poor fit, or defective items. Our warranty and return coverage applies only to the parts themselves—not to labor, installation, towing, diagnostics, rentals, or any other associated expenses.

Professional Installation Requirement

All parts must be installed by a licensed, certified professional mechanic. BrakeUp is not liable for damages, injuries, or failures resulting from improper, DIY, or unprofessional installation. Warranty or return claims may require proof of professional installation.
